Summer Art Camps take place in Oxford Arts Alliance's Main Building in the art classrooms upstairs at 38 S Third St, Oxford, PA from 9 am to 2 pm {see alternative camp programs for OXAA camps in other locations during the summer}. The daily schedule includes a morning session of camp and snack, lunch brought by each camper, and an afternoon session of camp with an additional snack time.

Drop off is from 9:00-9:15 am each day. Pick up is from 2:00-2:!5 pm each day.

Our facility can refrigerate lunches but cannot heat them up and we do not provide snacks, so please pack accordingly.

Students leave with around 15 completed projects in the week. For 2020 we will be hosting an online gallery through Artsonia for the families of our art campers to enjoy their artwork for a lifetime by hanging onto them digitally! Visit our Artsonia page!

See our FAQ's and our camp information sheet for helpful information.

JUNE 15 - JUNE 19 | AGES 5-7

Art Meets Science

JUNE 22 - JUNE 26 | AGES 8-10

Let’s shake things up by mixing art and science to create a concoction of FUN! Your child will use methods of science to create art, educating them on what is around them like nature, repurposed materials, and digging into the root of what makes “art”. Did you know that the first pigment was a combination of soil, animal fat, burnt charcoal, and chalk?

Instructor: Gloria Lopez

Superhero Adventure

JULY 6 - JULY 10 | AGES 5-7

What do the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and the Hulk have in common? These superheroes were created by the same artist! Put on your capes because we’re getting ready to save the world one paintbrush at a time! Your child will learn about art styles and art movements that influenced comic books like Pop Art with famous artists Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

Instructor: Mallory Kaliner

Art Island!

JULY 13 - JULY 17 | AGES 5-7

Set sail for an adventure on the coast of art island! Your child will create art projects based on oceanic life and its surroundings! Explore texture, color, art mediums for your aquatic creatures, beachy landscapes, and more. Don’t get sand in your shoes!

Instructor: Karen Andress

Young Illustrators

JULY 20 - JULY 24 | AGES 8-10

Drawing is one of the most fundamental skills in art! Let your child build their artistic knowledge through elaborate and exciting projects that sharpen their efficiency in value, contrast, and design! Your child will learn the basics of drawing and develop illustrations that are visual interpretations of various art projects.

Instructor: Gloria Lopez

Imagine That!

AUG 3 - AUG 7 | AGES 8-10

Let your child be their most creative self! This is where we encourage imagination to run wild. Develop your child’s sense of wonder as they work with different art mediums and styles while tuning in to what’s on their mind. Did you know Franz Marc imagined a world of blue cows and purple horses and Alexander Calder once created an entire tiny circus using scraps of wire, cloth and wood?
