Ready to experience something completely different? Learn how Mitch Lyons’ unique printmaking process changed the way clay can be used. You'll be working from a slab of clay, adding layers of colored clay slips, pastels, textures and imagery. From this the monoprints will be pulled. Even if you’ve never worked with clay or know nothing about printmaking, you’ll be excited to learn to to pull your very own clay monoprints. Perfect for ALL levels.
Please bring in:
newsprint pad 18x24 in
small roll of drywall/joint tape
containers with lids (ie. old cottage cheese containers)
Please email our art coordinator Caitlin Daugherty specific questions
About our new instructor:
Meredith Wakefield, Mitch Lyons’ wife, studied with and worked alongside her husband in the studio. She is dedicated to keeping Mitch's legacy alive by continuing to promote his artwork and developing her own style of clayprinting.
