Academy of Music & Art
Policies for private lessons
If under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must be in attendance for the entirety of the lesson. If students are 15 – 17 years old, a wavier form may be signed to allow students to attend lessons without parental accompaniment.
The Oxford Arts Alliance does not have a parking lot. On street, metered parking is available as well as parking lots. The 2nd street parking lot is metered. Payment can be made at the kiosk located on 2nd street or in the center lot. There is non-metered parking by Memorial Park. Another parking lot is located off of Broad Street.
Please visit Oxford Borough for more information on public parking.
Music and art lessons are exclusively for OxAA members only. Student memberships are $15 a year. To sign up for membership, please visit this page.
Tuition Policy for Music Academy
Rather than paying per lesson, students pay a monthly subscription of $96 each month and receive a month of 30 minute lessons. Students interested in 60 minute lessons pay a tuition of $192 per month.
Tuition not only includes private lessons, but recitals and various performance opportunities throughout the year.
Please make payments before your first lesson of each month online at https://www.oxfordart.org/music-lesson-tuition
Students are asked to speak to their instructor directly in regards to make-up lessons and scheduling. All scheduling is done through your individual instructor.
Please notify your instructor at least 24 hours ahead of your lesson if you are not going to attend. Cancellations in less than 24 hours are not granted a reschedule or make-up lesson and are at the instructor’s discretion.
Individual refunds for lessons missed during the month are not available as they are already worked into the payment plan.
Lessons cancelled by an instructor, weather, or OxAA related events are eligible for make-ups.
Several instructors are available for Skype or FaceTime instruction. Please ask your instructor for more information.
Students are able to discontinue lessons at the beginning or ending of the month.
Please contact Anthony Derrico, Director of Education/Assistant Director for additional information on our academy policies or with questions.
