Art in the Park

August 6th, 2022, 10 am to 2 pm

Part of the Re-Connective Weekend

Presented by Landhope Farms

In partnership with Oxford Mainstreet Inc

In partnership with Oxford Mainstreet Inc, we are excited to introduce the Re-Connective Weekend presented by Landhope Farms!

Taking place August 5th and 6th, 2022, this joint venture between the two organizations is a callback to the Connective Festival of years' past. We know what the festival meant to our community and beyond so we have distilled the essence of the event and are bringing it back to you in the form of a two-part First Friday.

Friday - we will be hosting a Rock the Block event with a lineup of music from local/regional acts along with Food Trucks, lawn games, and more.

Saturday - we will feature Art in the Park with artists, art vendors, and demonstrators. Additionally, there will be live music, food trucks, and a creative corner for kids.

Following a few "interesting" years, we felt that it was time for us to re-introduce the connective to Oxford, but a scale manageable among the backdrop of our new normal.

Join us in August to rejoice, renew, and Re-Connect!

Call for Artists

We are looking for artists, artisans, and craftsmen only. All items must be handmade, and cannot be wholesale items, or imported from other countries. The only exception to this rule is if an artist prints their handmade, original design on paper, clothing or accessories, but we ask that the artist uses a local business to print their design on said items. We acknowledge that prints of original artwork keep costs low for artists and give them the ability to sell more quantity.

You'll receive a follow up email from Oxford Arts Alliance staff with a payment form and an information packet on parking, set up and break down! Demonstrators receive a discount for their spot and a higher priority is given to those who have audience participation in their demonstrations. When we follow up with payment, we'll ask for a detailed description of the demonstration. Oxford Arts Alliance and Oxford Mainstreet Inc reserve the right to reject any vendor or demonstration entries, but generally spaces will be assigned on a first-come basis. No spaces will be held without payment and payment is non-refundable for any reason. All payment is processed through Oxford Mainstreet Inc. The fee structure is similar to First Fridays; art vendors will pay $45 and art demonstrators will pay $10. Everyone must bring their own tents, tables, displays, and chairs for a 10 foot by 10 foot space. All proceeds go to the artist and the artist must handle their own payment methods. After a few years of experience with festivals in Oxford, please keep in mind that items under $200 are more likely to sell than items over that amount. There will be very limited electricity available at the park and will only be given to one-two artists. There are portapotties available near the gazebo. There will be food trucks near the pavilion. It's recommended to bring a friend with you to watch your display if you need a break.
