#StandWithPresence ART CHALLENGE!

In times of uncertainty, ART is a powerful force for building communities and inspiring inner strength. To show our community's spirit, The Oxford Art Alliance and artist Vicki Vinton invite you to join us in an Art Challenge! Our goal is to gather 1,000 photos! We will combine them into a gigantic 6-foot-tall mosaic of Presence, and when we can safely gather again, we will display it for you, your family, and friends to see! Visit this page for more information on how YOU can participate!

AVAILABLE NOW: Virtual Art Exhibitions

Due to the stay-at-home order and our "new normal" the Oxford Arts Alliance is bringing art exhibitions to you on our website through a virtual flipbook! Our Emerging Artist Andres Martinez was unable to have his opening reception in our physical gallery space so we put together a virtual exhibition for all to enjoy.

  • View Andres Martinez' solo exhibition "Lost in the Exhaust" here!

  • View our Annual Oxford Student Art Show here!

AVAILABLE NOW: Virtual Art Camp

The Oxford Arts Alliance is bringing an art camp to you through the comfort of your home. The COVID-19 crisis has made us all a little stir crazy, so sit back and relax while your kids engage in educational, hands-on art activities to keep them busy for days. Don’t let social distancing deprive your kids of experiencing exciting art enrichment through our online camp program! Our curriculum is designed for 6-10 years old, but campers of any age are welcome to join in on the fun. Purchase our Virtual Art Camp online: Click here! Art Kits are unavailable for purchase due to a fire; instead we will be donating 5% of each Virtual Art Camp purchase to Kennett Copy & More!

UPDATED: Our COVID-19 Plan at the Oxford Arts Alliance

The Oxford Arts Alliance is temporarily closed. The safety and health of our members, students, staff, and faculty is our priority. We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and reevaluate any closures, postponements, or rescheduled classes and events as we learn more about the outbreak. For now, we ask that you stay home with your family as recommended by Governor Tom Wolf. Our timeline will be re-evaluated based on the Governor's Process to Reopen Pennsylvania.

We have a commitment to everyone we serve in our community. These are the actions we have taken to ensure financial security for our faculty, continued learning for our students, and exposure for our exhibiting artists:

  • NEW! We've added Virtual Art Exhibitions. View Emerging Artist Andres Martinez solo exhibition here!

  • NEW! We've added a Virtual Art Camp

  • NEW! Unfortunately our in-person summer art camp programs have been cancelled to ensure the safety of all campers, helpers and instructors

  • Online private lessons have been implemented for our music and art academy

  • Our Color Run has been postponed until further notice

  • Our art receptions and group classes (youth and adult) have been rescheduled

  • Staff will continue to work from home during our building's closure to keep up with administrative work, answer any questions and concerns via email, and more!

If you have traveled recently, have been exposed to the virus, or you are exhibiting signs of the virus please self-isolate for 14 days as recommended by the CDC and follow up with a doctor. You can read more here: https://www.cdc.gov/

We know how this has affected our community in Oxford. We ask that you consider buying gift cards, gift certificates or delivery from our neighbors and local businesses through this trying time. You can find Oxford's business directory here: Business Directory

Scholarships

In the shadow of COVID-19, a growing number of our academy students and their families are finding themselves in a difficult financial situation due to so many workers being furloughed or out of work. Through the study of art and music, we can create healthy, thought-provoking, and expressive avenues in our diversifying community.  Unfortunately, access to musical education in Oxford, PA is difficult to afford for many families. As the arts and culture leader in Oxford, we want to provide students with the opportunity to further their artistic or musical education regardless of their ability to pay.
