Olivia Hiester

2nd Place Award for 9th Annual National Juried Exhibition

Olivia Hiester is a painter and printmaker born and raised in West Philadelphia. She is entering her third year as a BFA candidate at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts where she is a recipient of the Magiure Artistic Excellence Scholarship. Olivia has twice attended the Mount Gretna School of Art’s summer intensive program. At the Academy, she has been awarded the Samuel David Memorial Prize, the Color Woodcut Purchase Prize, the Thouron Prize, the Louis B. Sloan Prize, and the Eleanor S. Gray Prize. This past spring, Olivia was awarded the Lois and Charles X. Carlson Landscape Painting Residency, where she produced the body of work displayed in Visitor.
