Grades 9&10
Step into 1776 and bring history to life through art.
Campers will explore the Revolutionary War era, focusing on Chester County’s role in the Philadelphia Campaign surrounding the pivotal year of 1776. Through research, discussion, and design, students will incorporate historical symbols, maps, and imagery into a detailed Liberty Bell artwork.
This camp encourages critical thinking, storytelling, and artistic skill development while connecting students to both local and national history.
The program will be taught by Oxford Arts Alliance board member and art instructor Patty Moshanko, who brings extensive experience in drawing, painting, and design, as well as years of teaching at the university level.
By the end of the week, campers will have contributed to a large-scale Liberty Bell that will be displayed in the community as part of the America250 celebration in October.
Dates: July 27-31, Monday - Friday
Time: 9am-1pm
Tuition: $0
Important Registration Commitment:
These camps are offered at no cost and space is extremely limited. Due to high demand, we expect all registered participants to attend each day of their selected camp. If your plans change, please notify us as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another student.
