Summer Advanced Art Academy
A four-week, in-person intensive for talented and driven high school art students looking to elevate their skills and grow their portfolios.
Each session will be on Wednesday from 9 AM to 4 PM, including a one-hour lunch break (lunch provided), plus two hours of open studio time. Classes blend lectures, demos, studio work, and personalized feedback. Students receive one-on-one mentorship from top-tier instructors and gain inspiration from working alongside creative peers.
Curriculum includes:
Foundations of Drawing – Learn core observational drawing skills, including line, shape, composition, perspective, and value through still life, interior, and landscape studies.
Portraiture – Master facial structure, lighting, and proportions to create expressive portraits in a range of media.
Printmaking – Explore advanced printmaking techniques to create an edition of multi-colored linoleum block prints.
Mixed Media – Combine painting, drawing, collage, and more to develop a unique artistic voice and explore creative expression.
This immersive program is designed to challenge and inspire students ready to take their art to the next level.
